ZipBooks Scholarship Program Application Details for Winter 2018 Announced

The ZipBooks Scholarship Program (ZSP) is now accepting applications! The ZSP supports development of promising students enrolled in higher education, and seeks to supplement career exploration independently with a scholarship of $1000 per student.

Who should apply?

ZSP applicants should have a track record of academic success. The ZSP eligibility conditions are structured to encourage applicants who may be able to demonstrate academic achievement outside the classroom.

ZSP eligibility conditions

  • Applicants should be:
    (1) planning to enroll in an accredited university or college during the Winter 2018 semester or
    (2) currently enrolled at an accredited university or college.
  • Applicants of all areas of study are encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants should currently have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • ZipBooks owners and/or employees, their relatives, or its affiliates cannot qualify.

How do I apply?

ZSP statement of intent requirement

If you are interested in applying for the scholarship, please submit your single-page statement of intent including a summary of why you are seeking ZSP funding by 12:00 AM PT, June 30, 2018.

ZSP proposal requirement

Scholarship proposals for Winter 2018 semester are due no later than 12:00 AM PT, August 1, 2018.

The proposal must contain:

    • a cover letter no longer than one (1) page, double-spaced containing your full name, contact information, and school you attend/ will be attending.
      • a detailed description of 1,000 words that describes the project this scholarship would fund
      • Must be delivered in Word / Word pad format
      • Plagiarism will not be tolerated

Scholarship award process

Scholarship applications will be reviewed by an external committee. Awardees will be announced on our website on November 1, 2018.
