If you’re migrating data from old client accounts or would like to use a previous chart account template, you can save time by importing.
How to import your chart of accounts:
From the Transactions menu, select Categories
In the top right, click Import
An Import Categories window will open from the right. Download our CSV template and follow the instructions for exporting your old data.
Upload the file and click Import
That’s it! Your categories will automatically be organized in ZipBooks and assigned to the correct parent categories.
If you’re an Accountant managing multiple client accounts, you can either migrate all data from QBO or manually import a client’s chart of accounts as explained above (just make sure you switch to client view first).
