We ordered the Mediterranean and got 5 small pieces of lamb on it -- not enough for each piece to get a taste of lamb. Flat with almost no toppings. Tasty, but very meager.

I don't understand how this place thinks they can charge such exuberant prices from a gas station. Ordered two pizzas and a Caesar salad. The salad dressing they claim to make from scratch but tastes the same as the garbage from Little Caesars. Pizzazza was some of the worst pizza I've had in town and at 30 dollars for a large pizza this place is a hard pass.

Best pizza in town.. Best pizza all the way to Seattle actually! We don’t eat out much because we are very picky about where our food comes from this makes most restaurants off limits for our family but this place Is our go to for take out.. organic, local, pasture raised meats and no nasty ingredients! The Alabama Hill location is the best, Fairhaven is hit or miss but it’s still better then any other place in town!

Great pizza & crust, although we've recently noticed a decrease in the quantity of toppings-our last pizza was a little skimpy. Fresh, local and when possible, organic & nitrate-free ingredients! Today's choice was a turkey, avocado & bacon sandwich, which came with a nice side salad. Delish! A nice touch is stores are tip-free, which means your tip is probably built into the price, but it speeds checkout and this company pays it's employees a living wage. We'll continue to support them!

Love that it is local ; tries to have more local fresh ingredients; awesome roasted garlic and kalamata olives and some artisan stuff at a gas station location ! I love that it is in a spot that has only a few other businesses and glad it is part of the neighborhood. Only criticism is consistency; sometimes awesome and sometimes very mediocre even with just crust consistency on the exact same order each time. With that said; it is a way better local pizza option than another yucky old national chain. Please support these guys over some other national chain. They also were doing some good things with tips for their staff including kitchen staff not just waiters at Fairhaven location.

Uhm..since when do u not wear gloves when preparing food?! That is exactly what I'm watching at this moment. One person has gloves and one isn't. I'm watching the employee knead and Roos the bread dough, add cheese and whatever other topping while reaching inside the containers WITHOUT gloves. That is totally gross!! You may be the most OCD clean freak there is but anyone looking at you wouldn't know that!! Especially with holes in the knees of your jeans and bandaids!! Jus sayin'

For people who do not know NY Pizza they sure claim to know it. They use more cheese than any pizza should have on it. The sauce has no flavor. The ingredients are so far and few between. For $35 you expect a lot of ingredients. The crust needs more flavor and was way to thick.

It's a bit on the pricier end, but cost includes tax and tip. We always use some coupon or other via their email promotions as well - with that you can walk out with a large signature pizza (highly recommend BBQ brisket) and cheese sticks or a cheese pizza all for $30.

Um, yummy. Pizza cooked in a stone oven, makes the crust freaking fantastic. And I don't even like pizza crust, but damn it is good. A little pricey for a slice of pizza. But the customer service you get from the tall handsome ginger (Gage), definitely makes this place worthy of my money.

Pretty solid thin crust pizza. Sadly, no vegan cheese options. The balsamic salad was ok, but the "Greek" salad wasn't worth it. It was basically a balsamic salad with cucumbers. Who puts balsamic dressing on a Greek salad?! No peppers, no oregano, no lemon, no onion.  Weird. They totally rename or retool that one. A little pricey overall, but the service was sweet and attentive. Kids enjoyed the chalkboard painted walls to draw on. Bonus star for that!

We LOVED having Pizza'zza cater our wedding. Working with Erica was really great! Her communication all the way up to the event was awesome. Erica really helped us figure out what we needed once we decided to go with her for our wedding food and bartending and it made those decisions so easy. Aside from making the planning a breeze, the pizza was great! All our guests were really happy with the food. We had a few vegans, some gluten free people, and some that were both gluten... free and dairy free. That's kinda the point of pizza, gluten and dairy. That did not matter for Pizza'zza, the gluten free, dairy free people loved their pizza! They really like that they didn't just get a generic, cardboard pizza, they got a delicious meal that fit their dietary needs. That's not easy with pizza, but Pizza'zza pulled it off amazingly! The bartending was also really great. They worked with us to figure out exactly what we would need for the size and duration of the reception and they were spot on. We had zero complaints, and many, many compliments for hiring Pizza'zza. Erica knows what she is doing, and obviously has a great staff supporting her. 10/10 would recommend to anybody!

We were so lucky to have hired Erica and Pizza'zza for our beautiful wedding day last month!! We are a couple that firmly believes in pizza and is definitely something that is important to both of us. Let's just say that pizza was a turning point in our relationship early on :) When we started wedding planning, we joked around about the idea of having pizza at our wedding and what a dream of mine it was to eat pizza in my wedding dress. But as we looked at caterer after cater...er, we finally just said, "why not?!" Erica invited us to a tasting that was beyond generous and spent so much time just getting to know us. We have several dietary needs among our families and friends, and Erica was so knowledgeable around how to not only accommodate to those needs, but how to ensure that everyone had excellent food. Erica also asked for our wedding vision board and we were blown away by all the small details that Erica included with our catering. She added to the rustic, backyard feel that we were going for and again, we were just blown away. Everyone not only loved the food, but had nothing but nice things to say about Erica and her staff. How lucky were we to not only have pizza on our wedding day, but to have had a caterer that paid so much attention to us and really personalized the spread to our special day. We would highly recommend Pizza'zza to cater any of your events!! Thanks so much Erica!!

So I really want to give this place a good review because for the most part, their pizzas are good. The fact that they support other local businesses by buying local ingredients is a nice perk given how locally focused this town likes to be. That's the only reason there's 2 stars here and not just 1. However, I can't give a 5 star review because the prices are insane. I cannot justify spending $27 on a tiny 12" gluten-free crust that isn't enough to cover a single meal for my husband, let alone spending double that amount on 2, tiny pizzas. For their prices, you would expect a lovely sit-down restaurant with good ambience and a decent cocktails menu, and would still expect to leave some sort of tip in addition to the tab. But this is a place located inside a gas station with no sitting area. Come on. Prices of the food do not reflect the establishment.

We hired Pizzazza for our wedding and from the second Erica responded to my first email, my wife and I were overjoyed and so pleased with every moment. They offered us an exceptionally generous complementary tasting in their beautiful Fairhaven location (plus it's a tip free establishment which as two folks who have done their time in restaurants and bars we found this hella rad) and were so helpful with all our guests dietary restrictions. The day of our wedding the weather was horrendous (tree limbs falling in the streets and power outages) and the location was up a fairly steep hill, and of course being Washington, it was pouring rain. While the food truck itself couldn't make it up the hill, Erica and her crew ferried up pizzas and were still able to serve our guests who (while water logged by the end of the evening) were so happy, well fed, and still raving about how awesome the food was a week later! Thank you Pizzazza for making our wedding everything we wanted and more, and truely weathering the storm with us! Garrett and Kira

Way too spendy. It's walk up and order your pizza, not fine dining table service. Why tack on a hidden service charge that you spring on people at the end? You are making lots of locals angry. Anyway the employees lose tip money on me. I've worked in the restaurant business and always tip at least 20%. Lots of people do. But I, like lots of customers, really do resent having to tip 12%. You're already charging tourists prices before the 12% add on, and to tack on another hidden fee is ludicrous. Check pizza prices around town - even for Fairhaven your prices are inflated. Don't pretend your pizza is out of this world better than everyone else's. It's good, but there are lots of equally good pizza in the area. I won't be coming back.

Our daughter got married on May 6 in Birch Bay and Pizza’zza provided all the catering. I can’t say enough good things about Erica and her team! Facebook needs to get a 10 star option! When our daughter described her ideal wedding for me when we were planning last September, the words she used were carefree, relaxed, fun, casual, modern, with lots of greenery and outdoor elements and within our budget. Well, these words also described the wonderful meal provided by Pizza’zz...a. The whole team was so professional and relaxed and did all their work in a way that was barely noticeable to any of us. Once Erica had introduced herself to me, I never had to think about another meal-related thing. Her team made everything happen perfectly, and all this without the day of coordinator who cancelled on us last minute! Erica decorated the outdoor tented area so prettily and with elements that worked perfectly with our ocean and forest venue. She used elegant containers to serve beautiful teas and berry infused waters. The food was absolutely tremendous and so many guests commented on the delicious appetizers, salads, pizza and dessert. Hot, fresh and delicious are the descriptions I’d use. And all of this from their truck being parked a ways away from the tent due to the parking restrictions in the state park. The venue at Birch Bay had no kitchen so they made do without and yet everything was truly perfect. For dessert, we had chosen their homemade ice cream sandwiches and, so that people could choose more than one flavor, they wrapped them in half sizes rather than in wholes. People kept asking who made them! And we said, ‘the caterers did everything”, (including a fabulous coffee/tea service at dessert time). Guests just thought they were fantastic. As a sweet surprise, they also put a custom label on each sandwich with the names of our daughter & husband, the wedding date and the flavor of the ice cream sandwich. So perfect. Erica and I had had a number of phone conversations prior to the wedding and everything worked out exactly as discussed and even better as she brought her own ideas, expertise and professionalism to the day. Thank you Pizza’zza team! You are amazing and I hope your wonderful business grows and expands beyond your wildest dreams!

Pizza'zza is amazing. Not living in Bellingham we took a recommendation from family there and called them to cater our rehearsal dinner a few weeks ago at my families home. Erica helped us out and was amazing to work with, we had a few people with special dietary concerns and allergies and she took the time to make sure we had an ingredient list for each thing we ordered. We ordered a package that included salad, drinks and cookies as well as the pizza and we were so happy with our choices. We were looking for a casual evening with friends and family before our wedding, with great food and Pizza'zza delivered. Their service was incredible as well. Next time we're back in Bellingham we would love to have their food again!

Just finally got around to write a review. Had take out several Friday's ago. They only offer one size. We ordered half cheese and half pep and a bread stick pizza. $26. Very pricey for OK pizza. Pizza was soft, thin and flappy. Not real good at all. Maybe for some but not my liking. The bread stick pizza thing was not cooked fully in parts. Working a real pizza oven takes time to master. More concerning was the guy making pizzas was also answering the phone. He did not wash his hands or where gloves. The person handling money also was answering the phone. Easy to put two and two together on that one. Mostly why I felt I needed to write a review. Kind of grosses me out. No reason really to go back.

Hi, Jim. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the pizza you ordered. It sounds like your pizza and breadsticks weren't prepared to our quality standards. It also sounds like our staff wasn't following our protocol for hand-washing, which calls for hand-washing after the phone is answered or the POS system is used. If you could provide me with more detailed information about the day, time, and location you were in, that would really help us provide the necessary follow-up training to our employees. The pizza is delicious, thin crust and tasty toppings. My favorite is the Little Italy, but the Buffalo is good too. My only gripe is the price, it can really add up when ordering pizza for a crowd, and I'm not entirely sure it's worth it. Other thing worth noting, pizazza doesn't deliver, but Viking Delivery will pick up and deliver for you.

Love love this pizza! For being in a gas station it's the best pizza I have ever been to! The service sucks though. They can be very rude. But it's worth the pain that they are for the best pizza around Washington.

Sorry, but when I call in an order and tell whoever it is I'm talking to that I have a coupon....(one by the way I just received a couple weeks ago, and NO expiration date), and this said person tells me the coupon is good, and I go ahead and order....I expect that when I go to pick up the pizza that the coupon will be honored. It was not. My son was told that they changed their system (what system I don't know) and they no longer accept this coupon. OK, why did the person I ordered the pizza from not tell me this??? They refused to honor it......My son was offered a 15% discount, far below what the coupon would have given us. Oh well, I'll never go there again, ever. As far as the taste.......it was OK. The crust was tough....really tough. So as far as Pizzazza goes, it's not on my list of places to go....sorry. You whoever is reading this might think otherwise.

This is my favorite place to get pizza. They have delicious, generously sized slice options and the staff is really accommodating with topping additions or deletions.  I would go so far as to say that they have the most delicious pizza that I've ever had in my whole life....And I'm no spring chicken. Do yourself a favor and eat there right away!

I went into this place today to get a sandwich or a piece of pizza one of the two and walked out of there with a roast beef sandwich that was pre-made usually they have the pre-made sandwiches on the Shelf that are refrigerated and ready to pick up butt the gas station fridge was not working so they were behind the counter I read the note that said to talk to her clerk behind the counter at the Plaza store and asked her 4 a sandwich and she was kind and quick and courteous and got me a sandwich right away the food was good and who is Barry comedian quick stop and grab a quick bite to eat I'll definitely be going back to this place next time I'm driving by here where I'm working nearby 2 get some food for lunch or for dinner next time I think I'm going to try the pizza

Every time I've been in, every person working has been pleasant and friendly. Darius in particular makes an effort to recognize and appreciate everyone who comes to the counter, something I've not only experienced personally, but also something  I've seen while waiting for my own order. I've never been disappointed by their individual slices, and I just had the most incredible meatball grinder I've ever had in my life. Do yourself a favor and try the pineapple and pepperoni- I didn't know something could even taste this good. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try, it's now a favorite of mine!

Do yourself a favor and order a white crust, applegate pepperoni and pineapple pizza from Pizzazza.  They are one of two pizza joints I've ever been to that uses fresh pineapple instead of the canned stuff, and it provides the perfect balance to the crispy saltiness of the applegate pepperoni.  I've tried pepperoni and pineapple pizza's at countless places, and none have done it better than this surprising little gas station pizzeria. PS-  The only downside is that you'll want to eat this pizza quickly while it's warm, and it tends to lose heat quickly (perhaps due to the thin crust?).  I recommend applying swift, draconian punishment to anyone who dares leave the box open after selecting a slice.

Not nearly as good as the reviews.  While everything is definitely fresh the dough is not great.  Pizza is a personal thing but this one is average at best for my taste.  A little expensive as well.

Pizza is just OK. There are a lot of local and fresh toppings but the sauces leave a lot to be desired. The service I've received has been consistently bad.

We are regular customers and generally love the pizza.  However, we had horrible customer service tonight.  Three pizzas were order, one with no cheese to the tune of approximately $70.  When I got home the no cheese pizza had cheese.  A prompt phone call to the store resulted in further frustration.  The girl who took the order remembered I said no cheese.  She looked at the ticket and said it says no cheddar cheese (her mistake). She first asked if it was uneaten.  I said one piece was gone did she want it back?  She finally replied no, but said it would be over an hour for our pizza because they had many other orders to fill first.  REALLY!!!??? You make a mistake and then punish the customer?   I asked to speak to a manager.  She said he was too busy and would call back soon.  Ten minutes later, I finally called the store back. After another few minutes on hold, I finally spoke to manager and was accused of ordering the pizza wrong.  Wow!  Not sure if we will ever go back.

I have never eaten at pizzazz pizza before and untill a couple months ago. The one on Alabama hill Bellingham Wa. 98226. Most of the staff that work their are very friendly although the girls that work their dress a little provocative and isn't very friendly and to be frank their mannerism needs improvement. I have always been greeted by two individuals Alex and Darius who are very friendly and always say have a good day and enjoy, not to mention when ever my 10 yr old son would ask for a free slice of pepperoni pizza they were happy to give him one no questions asked. My favorite is the salad, pepperoni ham and pineapple pizza, Maui wowie chicken ham pineapple and jalapenos,   Zzapreme with pepperoni hot Italian sausage red onions green peppers mushrooms and olives. My son really likes and enjoys the burgers witch is his favorite. I have also recommended this place to my friends and family, I will also continue to keep recommending this place. Thank you and keep up the great job.

This place is tucked inside of a gas station market on the main drag of Alabama Street which is actually one of its positive attributes. It is open late night and easily accessible to a large swath of people living in the neighborhood. Pizzazz has their own counter and bench seating separate from the gas station. Regardless, I gaurantee you will not want to sit here to eat. When you enter the store, head to your left. You will see large menu boards above and below the counter. There are also take away menus that you can read on the go. Once you have decided whether you will indulge in a sandwich or a pizza pie, you have to figure out the convulated way to place your order.  It is not intuitive, and the staff here will give you a bit of attitude for not magically figuring it out on your own. Secret Steps to Placing your Order: 1) Tell the staff behind the Pizzazz counter want you want to order. 2) They will give you a printed paper that you take to the gas station counter to pay. 3) Be sure to pick up any drinks you want from the market and take them with you to the convenience store rep. 4) The convenience store rep will ring up your bill, take your cash or plastic and then give you a paid receipt. 5) You then have to return to the Pizzazz counter and deposit your paid receipt in the "Paid" bucket. Whew, got all of that? Yeah, there is truly nothing convenient about this process. On the positive side, you can watch the dough being tossed and your very own pizza creation being placed in the oven. They use quality ingredients, so the food is generally tasty, but the price is more of what you would pay at a sit down restaurant. Considering the rough customer service, the labyrinth-like procedure for ordering, and the lack of ambience, I would suggest skipping this place and heading to Haggen's grocery store a block away. I know Haggen's is where I will head the next time I want to satisfy late night munchies.

I'm a little torn as to what to give Pizzazza, considering I usually judge by quality and service depending on the establishment and location. I have absolutely no problem with the pizza served here, their product is so good that I would even rival it against pizzerias not attached to gas stations, but unfortunately... their customer service atmosphere and attitude makes it a bit uninviting. Out of the two times I've been here I was very satisfied with my pizza. The construction and texture of their pizzas are very traditional but they also have this unique twist of flavor profiles, separating their pizza from any old run-of-the-mill traditionalist pizzeria. My BBQ Chicken pizza wasn't just lathered with Sweet Baby Rays and slapped with some gluey Kraft singles crap, it actually tasted like the local and quality ingredients that they rightfully boast on their signs facing out of the gas station. Although their prices are a bit steep, I've never actually felt ripped off when considering the quality of their food. Yet, my problem does lie with the very rude and condescending young lady working the front-end. I was greeted with a "what's up" and a shrug of the shoulders when I was deciding on which pizza to get, after apparently not speaking loud enough for her she then leaned in and said "what!?!" with a very smug look on her face as if I were some idiot who didn't know how to order a pizza. She then laughed and shrugged me away to the gas station register as I proceeded to try and give her my Debit card. (I forgot, I'm so very sorry. I guess we're not all blessed with perfect memory or preconceived knowledge of how to order from this place.) I came back 30 minutes later for my pizza and this same lady couldn't even be bothered to ask me what I came for or inform me on if it was ready or not. With no other customers to attend to, she just looked at me straight in the face and walked away. Luckily, one of the very friendly cooks stepped up and asked me what I ordered, then handed off my pizza and wished me a nice day. Well, damn. THAT'S ALL I FREAKING WANTED. I didn't catch his name but he was a heavy-set gentleman with an exceptional beard. If I were the owner, I would transfer all of the lady's wages for that day over to this guy who gave me more and better customer service in one five second interaction than she ever has out of all the times I've been there. If the pizza wasn't so good I wouldn't even bother coming back here. I'm not one to completely bash a food establishment because of one or a few bad apples, if the food is still good then I'm still coming back. But if you could hire someone else to work the front-end or even a cardboard cut-out of a person who looks like they're attempting to smile, I'd feel just welcome enough to come back here with no hesitation.
