How do I change a category that ZipBooks auto-categorized?

ZipBooks saves you time by auto-categorizing your transactions. But if ZipBooks makes a mistake, it’s easy to correct. And you’ll be teaching ZipBooks more about your habits in the process!

Here’s how:

  1. Log in to ZipBooks and click on Transactions at the top of the screen.
  2. Find a transaction that ZipBooks has auto-categorized and click on it. 
  3. In the Category field, choose the one you want to apply to this transaction. If you need to split it among multiple categories, click the Edit or Split button. 
  4. Click the blue Save button.

That it! ZipBooks will learn from the changes you made in order to more accurately categorize future transactions.
