How Do I Edit a Time Entry in ZipBooks?

Using time sheets helps you stay organized with your business. ZipBooks allows you to add new time entries manually from the app or automatically with the time tracker. In order to edit a time entry in ZipBooks, you have to delete it and then reenter a new time entry.

Follow these steps to edit a time in entry.

  1. Log in to your ZipBooks account. You’ll be taken to the main ZipBooks page that shows the dashboard all of your stats.
  2. On the left-hand side of the app, below the ZipBooks logo, you’ll see a list of menu options. Click on the sixth menu option, Time Tracking. You’ll be taken to a list of all your time sheets, projects, and tasks.
  3. On the right side you can add a new time entry. Select a project and task, and input your hours.
  4. Click the blue Add Time button on the bottom of the new time entry. The new time entry will be added to the timesheet.
  5. In order to delete your old time entry, click on the trashcan icon of the time entry that you would like to delete.

You can also add new time entries with our time tracker. Simply click the orange Time Tracker button on the right, insert the required information and click Start Timer. Your time will start tracking immediately.

You can also get the browser extension for all major browsers so you can track time from your browser at any moment. You can add the extension for Google Chrome by installing the time tracking extension.
